Homewood High School senior Zach Sims has verbally committed to play footbal at the University of Alabama at Birmingham this Fall. Sims made the committment during a visit to UAB in early February. Sims is an ASWA Honorable Mention All State selection this season as a center and anchor of the Patriots offensive line, leading them to a 9-2 record this season. Sims will sign his Letter of Intent to attend UAB and play for the Blazers on February 6 at HHS.
