Homewood Band Shows Support for Former Student Ameer Abdullah

Homewood High School Band showed support for Ameer Abdullah by spelling out "Fear Ameer" during the 2014 homecoming pregame show. Ameer Abdullah, former HHS student and current standout  running back for Nebraska University, was a preseason Heisman Trophy hopeful and is currently in the Heisman Trophy watch.  Off of the field, Abdullah is a standout in the classroom and a role model for young adults. The ROTC program, under the direction of  Colonel Paul and Sergeant Simmons, used their drone to capture images of the band spelling out "Fear Ameer," which is part of a nation-wide campaign to show support for the running back. The Patriots are proud to have Ameer representing our school. #FearAmeer!!
