HHS Freshman Cheerleaders Add Holiday Cheer at Women's Shelter
The Homewood High School Freshman Cheerleaders provided entertainment and
refreshments for the ladies at First Light Women's Shelter in Birmingham on
December 13. The cheerleaders led 2 hours of Bingo for the women to celebrate
the Holiday Season. They also performed a Christmas Cheer Dance and helped a
couple of the little girls feel like they were cheerleaders. Together, the
cheerleaders provided over 50 unwrapped prizes for the Bingo games. The women
(and a few of their precious children) selected fun gifts like nail polish,
socks, makeup, stationery, etc. A wonderful time was had by everyone who
attended. The HHS Freshman Cheerleaders are sponsored by Maggie Stoffregen and
Holly Drake, and coached by Deanna Swope.
