BeardStrong 2013 Raises Money for Cancer Research
HHS held it's annual BeardStrong fundraiser to raise money for cancer research
during the month of November. Assistant Principal Matt Kiser's beard raised the
most money among the 14 faculty and staff members that participated. The largest
single donation came from Senior Nashawan Mahyoub, who raised over $70.00 through
donations at a Bessemer grocery store owned by his family. This is the second
year that Nashawan has made the largest donation. BeardStrong 2014 raised over
$170.00 in donations for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of former HHS
administrator John Finley.
