Christine Morman has been chosen as the Homewood High School "Teacher of the Year". Teachers turned in nominations that included a written essay and personal knowledge of their nominee. Asst. Principal Latta Johnston and a committee that included school employees, a student, and a parent chose Ms. Morman for this award based on that nomination.

Ms. Morman will be the HHS nominee for the Homewood "Secondary Teacher of the Year". If chosen, she would continue on to the District competition, and possibly the "2013-2014 Alabama Teacher of the Year" competition.
